The role
As part of the Civil group within Saab Australia, the Field Application Engineer will workshop, deploy, configure, commission and up-sell Saab Australia’s OneView security software centric solutions to customers nationally. This will be achieved through an understanding of the Saab OneView software product features to ensure Saab maintains excellent customer relations and delivers high quality security solutions across all current and future sites nationally and potentially overseas.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Plan and lead tasks as needed to support the rollout of OneView
- Travel to sites locally, interstate and overseas as needed for successful rollout of OneView
- Provide OneView and assigned subsystem configuration responsibility from bid, through Factory Acceptance Testing to site configuration, commissioning and final acceptance
- Support the planning, estimation, preliminary design and documentation of tender submissions
- Prepare for and lead user workshops and customer feedback sessions
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- At least 2 years professional experience, dealing with customers, end-users and contractors
- Software Configuration and Deployment experience
- Experience with hardware deployment such as network hardware, security hardware, workstations, servers and storage
- System Commissioning experience (desirable)
- Experience with security related 3rd party sub-systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Duress Systems, Perimeter Detection Systems, Biometrics, Key Safes and Intercoms (desirable)
- IP Networking and Routing experience (desirable)
