Bid Estimating & Pricing Lead

The role

As part of our Sales & Government Relations group, the Bid Estimating & Pricing Lead will be accountable for ensuring the business winning E&P capability supports the business needs, including ensuring the tools, processes, guidance and training is delivered to ensure the successful generation of the pricing elements for winning tenders.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Review and recommend improvements to the bid estimating and pricing (E&P) capability within the business, in particular for complex opportunities
  • Gain approval from the appropriate stakeholders for any recommended changes to the existing capability
  • Plan and implement the approved E&P capability into the business, including tools, processes, guidance and training as required
  • Customise the E&P tool to reflect the Business assumptions, including hourly rates, travel price references, overheads, margins etc.
  • Ensure the bid E&P capability is fully integrated with the Win Business processes and enables a seamless transition into Execute Business

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Business, or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of the estimates and prices required for complex bids
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of using estimating software, e.g. ProPricer
  • Demonstrated financial experience within a complex business
  • Demonstrated experience of introducing new capability into a complex business
  • Broad capture experience across the “Position to Win” and “Win the Position” phases of business winning
  • Experience in engaging and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
