The role

As part of our Corporate group, the Construction Contract Administrator will contribute to the successful management and control of construction related administrative processes, across a range of high value projects nationally.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Liaise and negotiate with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Process payment, delay/extension of time, variation and other claims, and work with the relevant Project Manager to take appropriate actions.
  • Establish and/or tailor processes and tools that ensure compliance with specific contract administration activities.
  • Meet requirements of each contract with regard to response times.
  • Provide the Project Manager and Senior Management with relevant documentation in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and work effectively with other Saab contract administrators.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Significant experience in a similar role supporting the delivery of major projects in the commercial construction industry
  • Experience in the Australian commercial construction industry and contracts
  • Effective and high level relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, procurement issues and schedule management
  • A detailed working knowledge of claims processes (Variations, EOT’s and other) in the commercial construction industry
