Job Description:
Saab Inc. AUS Division is seeking a Director, Strategic Positioning – Unmanned Systems to join the Strategic Portfolio team. The Strategy Director will be responsible for technical oversight and development of comprehensive product strategies for AUS Unmanned Maritime UUV, USV and sensor systems spanning the entire product lifecycle (Product Conception through End-of-Life) as well as strategy planning and execution for major sensor captures to include requirements shaping and investment resource allocation.
The successful candidate must be an influential leader possessing both broad expertise and knowledge of sensors. At times, the position may require provision of SME support to address technical challenges in execution programs. Frequent domestic and international travel can be expected.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Math or related discipline. Masters or PhD preferred.
25+ years of relevant experience
Recent experience working with DoD labs.
DoD Program Management and Business Development experience.
Recent, highly relevant experience in the development of advanced UUV/USV Systems and sensors
Experience with SBIR and DoD program development
Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
Current TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Ability to assess new technology and emerging product/service trends.
Ability to guide the formulation of product definition, product pricing and product launch plans.
Ability to pursue innovative product strategies and promote new ideas.
Ability to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Ability to lead Product development, and strategic science and technology programs.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively present results/content to internal or external customers.
