We are looking for a person with high business acumen to lead a unit responsible for a great team of 35 co-workers in Sweden divided in 4 subunits. Group Property manage a portfolio of almost 1,500 000 sqm for + 23.000 staff located at around 80 sites world wide with the main part in Sweden. Your role
In the position as Vice President, Head of Group Property you will be responsible for Saab’s growing real estate portfolio and capital projects, developing strategies and policies to ensure long term cost effectiveness and financial output. You will lead a stakeholder driven organization that manage and develop Saab’s property portfolio.
In this role you are accountable for creating a culture that enhances and promotes performance, innovation and motivation. The Head of Group Property reports to Senior Vice President & Head of Operational Excellence and is part of the Operational Excellence Management team.
Our operations and your teams are geographically spread on our major sites throughout Sweden so frequent travelling is required.
You will be accountable for:
- Manage and develop Saabs global real estate portfolio
- Manage investments, acquisitions and sales of property and land
- Manage major infrastructure and construction projects
- Manage proactively internal stakeholders
- Manage large partner contracts within facility management, security, food & beverage and IT
- Analyze new opportunities in line with business needs and the Saab Group strategy
- Define and develop property policies and strategies aligned with the overall strategy
- Drive digitalization, operational excellence and efficiency
Your profile
You are trusting, inspiring and coach your team to high level of performance. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, developing strategic directions based on the business need and Saab’s strategy.
You possess a strong business acumen and are forward-thinking within Real Estate and Facility Management. When collaborating with stakeholders, you are confident with the ability to build relationships, influence and provide advice to key decision makers. You have a successful track record in your leadership skills as well as your cooperation skills with different suppliers.
Required background:
- Broad professional experience from heading real estate, facility management, capital projects and transactions within large international organizations
- Experience from managing a large investment portfolio
- Experience from negotiating and sourcing, especially leasing and letting
- Experienced Senior Leader with extensive knowledge in development and empowerment of direct reports and staff
- Experience in navigation and efficient work in a matrix organization
- Experience in stakeholder management to connect with business
- Relevant academic degree
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
