As Head of Hardware design for Giraffe xA you will have a strong influence on the development and improvement of our Giraffe xA product portfolio. You will lead and coach your team towards common strategic goals and operational excellence.
Your role
As Head of Hardware design for Giraffe xA, you will lead the organization with 5 managers reporting to you. You will be overall responsible for the unit in terms of project deliveries, budget, employee wellbeing, strategic development and resource and competence planning. The department is responsible for the mechanical design of surface sensor systems, solutions for power distribution within the system, as well as the technical project planning within the Giraffe xA product family. The responsibility for these areas includes design, implementation, integration, verification as well as project planning and execution within the product unit.
You will be a part of the Design management team and report to the Head of Design Giraffe xA. The management team is a team where every member contributes to the success of the Product Unit by motivate and inspire each other. For this role, we are looking for someone who likes to develop and challenge themselves as well as its team members to ensure we reach our common goal to design, develop and deliver world class surface sensor products.

We also want you to have competence and experience within the majority of the following areas:
Experience from hardware development; power distribution, mechanical and /or cabling design and project planning and executions
Experience from industrialization, production and technical project planning
Digital/automated development methods including Model Based Design and Additive Manufacturing
Experience of leading and coaching managers
A genuine interest to develop organizations, collaboration skills and ability to motivate your employees
Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
Strong business understanding and customer focus, both internal and external
Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
