The Security department is a staff function within Business Support where we also have competences within IT, Quality incl. GDPR, Environment, Export Control, Ethics & Compliance and Facility.
We are looking for a driven and experienced person, passionate about security issues with business understanding and leadership skills.
As Head of Security, you will be overall responsible for security matters within our Business Area both nationally and internationally in close cooperation with our Business Units, Operations and other internal and external stakeholders.
You are directly responsible for a team of aprox. 15 persons, located primarily in Karlskoga and Linköping, and functionally responsible for other security resources within Business Area Dynamics.
The Head of Security Saab Dynamics is responsible to lead, coordinate, operate and oversee security governance and compliance within the Business Area, apply and implement controls and processes necessary. Saab Dynamics have an exciting product portfolio with a high level of security protection requirements. You will be an important part of a business area in growth and change.
Your main task will be:
Ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership and direction for the BA Security function, including performance management by developing and converting strategies and strategic objectives to functional targets and actions plans
Plan, manage and coordinate security operations within the business area sphere of responsibility, in accordance with the overall posture
Take compliance into account, i.e. to continuously monitor and evaluate applicable laws, regulations, requirements and agreements for the BA in connection with Security, and if applicable suggest adjustment of internal regulations accordingly
Coordinate security operations between the BA and the Operational Countries in which the BA operates
Provide subject matter expertise and support in tender processes, due diligence of vendors, support legal and contractual management within the area of security for the BA
Your Skills and Experience
Able to work independently in this role, we expect you to have a number of years in the field where you have been working in security- or risk management or related functions.
You have several years of leadership and management experience with the ability to lead formal- and informal teams.
Since you will represent the function both internally and externally, you need to interact well with both stakeholders and colleagues and work across cultural barriers.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written.
You need an analytical and structured way of working with a global perspective.
University degree or equivalent competence acquired through work life experience related to the security area
Business knowledge and organizational skills to oversee highly complex projects with high impact on the business
Knowledge of legal aspects, laws, regulations, standards and best practices relating to security
Management principles, practices, and techniques, budget procedures and cost control
Knowledge within the areas of Protective Security, Information security and IT-security is a strong advantage
International work experience and having worked in large global companies, is a merit.
To be successful in the role we expect you to have excellent leadership skills and strong communication skills. Due to the nature of the job, we are looking for a stable personality, capable to perform in a stressful, international environment and manage qualified security threats. You need to be absolutely trustworthy with high standards of ethics and personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, complete lack of criminal convictions etc.), and willing to undergo background screening and/or personality assessments to verify this.
Primarily, this position is placed at our centrally located office at Karlskoga or Linköping, other BA Dynamics site in Sweden can be possible for the right candidate.
Business trips, mainly in Sweden but also internationally, is frequently occurring.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
