As Head of Strategy and Business Development you will identify and develop new business opportunities to expand business Unit Ground Combat market presence, profitability and revenue. The role includes deliver and execute on strategic business plan, managing and coordinating business goals and business partnerships, manages marketing efforts, proposes strategies to expand market share, and researches emerging business markets. The role also manage business development teams/projects and work closely with executive leadership, stakeholders, product management, marketing and sales. The role can also include change management and other special projects. The role reports to the Head of the Business Unit.
As Head of Strategy and Business Development, you possess a strong international leadership and general management skills. You have proven Commercial and Business Development experience.
- A minimum of 10 years’ managerial experience of within defence and defence industry with proven results
- Excellent communication skills in English verbal and written
- International business experience including experience with defence contract negotiations
- Strategy and strategic planning/execution
- Experience in building a winning and collaborative culture
- Merits like MBA or similar, if possible combined with an engineering/technical degree
As a person you have good ability in communication, are result-oriented and persuasive. We would like you to have an academic, analytical profile combined with hands-on experienced at all levels.
You have mature mindset and appearance with strong sense of integrity and a sense for cultural differences. You need to be able to work autonomously, experimental, innovative and out of the box thinking.
- Experience with production, supply chain, M&S and Development in a matrix organisation is a plus
- Experience with Industrial Cooperation (offset) is a plus
- Experience with User Groups is a plus
- Military background is a plus
