Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated HR professional for a Human Resources Business Partner/Recruiter role, based in East Syracuse, New York and supporting the organization across the US. In this dynamic hybrid role, you will partner with the management team of your assigned client groups to execute business strategies designed to recruit, retain, and develop a world-class workforce. You will also have the unique opportunity to partner with your HR teammates and other internal stakeholders to develop programs and processes that have a broad impact across the organization.

As a Recruiter, you will manage the full cycle recruiting and onboarding process for assigned client groups, including:
- Partnering with managers to understand their staffing requirements, and the specific skills, competencies, and experience desired for the role.
- Consulting with managers on recruiting strategy to generate a highly qualified, diverse talent pipeline.
- Monitor, track, and report on candidate pipeline.
- Facilitate management level panel interviews.
- Propose salary recommendations using internal and external data analysis.
- Train hiring managers on self-service recruitment and applicant tracking tool (Workday) and ensure compliance with legal and data-integrity requirements.
- Act as primary HR contact for new hire through the offer and onboarding process, including conducing orientation, ensuring all required forms and pre-employment screening is complete, and managing the relocation process (as appropriate).
- Act as HR POC for all matters concerning external contractor and recruiting agencies, including staffing agency agreements, contractor assignments, and direct hire recruiting.
- Coordinate and take part in external recruiting events and job fairs.
As an HR Business Partner, you will be assigned a client group and will utilize your HR experience and expertise to advise managers on all matters of HR. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coach managers on employee development and performance management, including driving Talent Management and Succession planning initiatives.
- Partner with mangers to ensure outstanding employee relations, guiding mangers through employee relations issues and leading investigations as required.
- Ensure successful execution of annual performance management and compensation planning processes, partnering with managers and HR team members.
- Collaborate with HR team to implement and execute HR programs across the organization, such as strategic training initiatives, rewards and recognition programs, compensation programs, performance management, DE&I initiatives, and compliance reporting (EEO/AAP).
Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and 6+ years’ experience in human resources or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment tools: resume databases, social networking, sourcing tools, and applicant tracking systems.
- Direct experience with manager self-service HR platforms; Workday experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with managers to provide guidance and support for the complete employee lifecycle.
- Fundamental knowledge of employment law and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience developing collaborative working relationships across organizations and functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn applicant tracking/HRIS systems (Workday).
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
