Your role

You will be part of the Quality Governance team at BA Surveillance. We are a mixed group where everybody's opinion is valued and the differences make out the basis for our progress. As Improvement and Audit Manager BA Surveillance, you will handle a range of tasks within the framework of improvement management.

The Quality Governance group gather all quality governance to ensure harmonization and alignment of core quality methods and tools. The group also has the responsibility to ensure audit programs, both internal and external, that not only uphold the license to operate but also improve the operations effectiveness. 

The main tasks are

  • Support the Surveillance organisation by driving or supporting improvement programs in different parts of the Business Area with the aim to increase effectiveness, create consistency and improve performance.

  • The support also includes supporting the line managers to secure the improvements are implemented, used and give the expected benefits. This task gives you an excellent opportunity to practice successful leadership and can be seen as a first important step to other leadership roles within Saab. 

  • Responsibility to create an annual external audit plan for Surveillance together with the external certification bodies and the internal organisation.

  • Help the BA Surveillance organisation to prepare for the external certification audits

  • Act as a guide during the external certification audits

  • Coordinate and collect the responses to the external certification bodies

  • Compile and analyse information/statistics/trends from audit programs and single audits in order to find areas for improvements.

  • Follow up long-term effectiveness of implemented improvements.

  • Contribute to analysis of relevant KPIs on BA level

You will report directly to Head of Quality Governance. As the Surveillance organisation is located mainly in Järfälla, Huskvarna and Gothenburg, you need to be able to travel and build good networks at all sites.

To fit in this role, you must be highly self-motivated, structured and communicative.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Quality Management or other relevant experience

  • Knowledge of applicable standards for management systems such as ISO 9001, EN 9100, ISO 14001, AQAP, etc.

  • Very good analytical ability and experience within systematic problem solving using root cause analysis tools like 8D and 5Why, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, written and verbal

  • The ability to work together with many different people and professions is a key to success

  • You are curious and have a driving force to learn

Desired skills:

  • Leadership experience as a project manager or line manager

  • Quality tools like Lean and Six Sigma

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
