The Role:
As an IT Support Engineer for Saab UK, you will be required to travel between UK sites as and when required but mainly based within the Saab UK office in Fareham.
Your role is vital in guaranteeing the smooth functioning of our IT landscape.
You'll be at the forefront of user satisfaction, resolving technical issues promptly, and maintaining our systems.
Your focus will be on troubleshooting, preventive measures, and system maintenance is crucial in delivering a secure, innovative, and user-friendly IT environment for our organisation.
Responsibilities:
Methodically troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Take ownership and accountability of incidents and service requests using our ITSM platform; ServiceNow.
Create, develop and maintain knowledge base articles.
Management of assets, including hardware provisioning, upgrades, replacements or retirements.
Warranty/order support tasks from vendors and suppliers.
Management, replacement and maintenance of conference rooms, printers and other physical assets or user environments.
Management of on-site printers.
Basic understanding of networking principles.
Onboarding/offboarding end-users.
Providing It Project support when required.
Staying up-to-date on the latest IT training.
Experience:
Experience of working within a similar IT Support role for a minimum of 2 years.
Experience working with Windows OS.
Experienced at troubleshooting Hardware, Software and Windows OS issues.
Industry knowledge and experience using tools in an administration capacity such as: Remote Desktop, Network Monitoring, Endpoint Protection, MDM and Active Directory.
Strong verbal and written communication skills,
Ability to work within a team, willing to contribute to the IT Strategy.
Ability to prioritise workload and work on multiple tasks at one time.

Be able to obtain Security Clearance or currently hold Security Clearance.
