The role:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of undersea robotic technology. Your focus will be working on the development and productionisation of our new robotic manipulator. You will be required to carry out wiring and build of complex assemblies, working closely with our Projects & Production Engineering departments.

Essential skills
To assist the development and implementation of standard operating procedures in a lean manufacturing cell, ensuring prototypes are transferred smoothly into production. Knowledge and experience of:
Lean - One piece flow assy
Poka Yoke – error proofing
Supporting generation of SOP documents.
Material supply solution ideas [Kanban etc.]
6S - optimising work station and tooling.
To have good problem solving abilities, working within an evolving process, generating innovative ideas and ensuring any design or build issues are highlighted to Production Engineering.
To be able to carry out duties alone or as part of a small team and to help and support others with training when possible by passing on knowledge and skills.
Desirable Skills:
To have a good understanding of electrical drawings and to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and General Assembly instructions. Knowledge of:
Wiring, soldering and electrical looming
Crimp tools, crimps, receptacle, sleeving, connectors and heatshrink materials.
To work with complex and intricate mechanical assemblies including oil filling, harmonic drives, electrical braking systems and rotor/stators.
To ensure the working area is a safe and clean environment in compliance with the 6S, best practice and health & safety policies.
To maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT (Information & Technology) and other systems required to perform the role.
To act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times.
To maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines.
