Manager Development Pipeline to Saab in Järfälla, Stockholm

Welcome to the naval side of life! We are now looking for a manager for our Development Pipeline section. Not only are we providing software to more than ten customer projects simultaneously, we are also cooperating with Australia and Finland in delivering the striking performance of our world leading Combat Management System.

Your role

We are looking for a manager with a passion for leadership, someone who takes joy and pride in helping coworkers to develop their skills, perform well and stay healthy. We work in an Agile environment where you as a manager are responsible for your teams software deliveries to the customer projects and stakeholders within the organisation. You will be responsible for high quality deliveries of the development pipeline.

The main tasks are:

  • Own your teams deliveries to customer projects
  • Cost center budget and result
  • Develop and maintain competences within the section
  • Resource and competence planning
  • Develop Processes, methods and tool management
  • Managing Design authority

Your profile

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have very strong communication-, leadership- and change management skills. You must have the ability to challenge status quo and seek out new perspectives. You are experienced in Agile/Scrum leadership and are result oriented.

We envision a management team where each member contributes with their individual experiences and skills to create a dynamic environment. You have experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers towards delivering timely, high quality software together with them.

Required skills:

  • A genuine interest to lead and coach people
  • Master degree in engineering, or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of software development
  • You celebrate success and continuously learn from mistakes
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
  • Proved track record of developing and growing teams

Desired skills:

  • Experience as a manager
  • Good understanding of Team management and recruiting

Business area Surveillance offers world-leading sensor technology in monitoring and decision support to protect against threats. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, C4I solutions, aviation systems and cyber security.

You will be part of the Software management team at Naval Engineering in Business Unit Combat Systems. Combat Systems (CS) supplies world-leading Command and Control systems, product and services to the armed forces. We operate globally with local sites in Sweden, Australia, Finland and Germany. The software department consists of in total 6 line sections and around 100 employees. You will be reporting to Head of Software.

The position is based in Järfälla, Stockholm and travel may be required, mainly to local sites within Sweden.
