Manager of Configuration Management
Saab, Inc. is searching for a Manager of Configuration Management to step into an influential leadership position using your experience in hardware, software, and data CM to ensure the success of your team.
Work with minimal supervision as master of your domain
Ensure policies and guidelines are in place to properly control company software, hardware, and documentation
Establish practices to develop team culture
Mentor team both formally and informally to ensure proper training, education and discipline
Attend program staff meetings to keep current on program CM needs and timing of deliverables
Participate in Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) meetings to understand changes to system configurations that CM needs to be aware of
Monitor workload and plan resources needed to support programs
Define and monitor CM group metrics
Vision for group-things done differently
Manage CM of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and other engineering modeling
Supervise migration of data between tools and deploying new tools/processes to programs
Skills and Experience:
5+ years in a functional team management role
10+ years in a Configuration Management position
Experience applying SAE EIA-649 principles and applications on Government programs
Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and PLM systems
Flexibility and expert time management
