Master Thesis, 30 HP: Design of a new system layout for Gripen E
For your master thesis you and a fellow student have the chance to design a new system layout for Gripen E!
In order to improve our way of working for both current and future products we want you to investigate how a new system layout can be designed and implemented.
Description of the master thesis
You will be working mainly with Installation design. Your main deliverable is a full CATIA V5 model of how a new system layout could be implemented and used. To achieve your objective you will also collaborate with other disciplines. Your new solution will consider the following:

Optimized solution regarding the number of installation articles and weight
This Master Thesis is suitable for two students. You are studying mechanical engineering or similar and are about to start your Master Thesis work for 30 HP. You are interested in solving technical problems in aeronautical systems. We are looking for team players enjoying collaboration within the team as well as with external contacts.
Communication skills in Swedish, verbal and written.

Very good social skills
Strong personal drive
Interest in both theoretical and practical problem solving
Interest in design engineering
Experience in CATIA V5

You will be part of the Electrical and Avionics Installation Design unit which is responsible for the development and design of all the electrical installation, including the related mechanics. Electrical and Avionics Installation Design is part of business area Aeronautics.
