Master thesis 30 hp: Work flow for a more effective supply chain for Circuit Boards
The flow of our supply chain for Circuits Boards today is both complexed and has deficiencies in its process. We believe there is room for improvements in order to uphold an acceptable lead time for our production and Aftermarket and to make it more efficient. For some Circuit Boards we serve our suppliers with components for the boards. Sometimes the components are manufactured by us, sourced from our stock of last-time-buy components and there might also be other scenarios for how we serve our suppliers with components which makes the supply chain complex.
The task is to map and analyze the flow today. Make a proposal for a model of how it could work more efficiently and also come with suggestions on where to handle the flow within our organization. This master thesis spans over several functions within sourcing and production such as, planning, sourcing, and manufacturing.
