Master Thesis 30hp: Reconnaissance with Intelligent Video Analytics
There are many applications where AI with deep learning may help humans to more rapidly find relevant information in images or videos. However, there are also obstacles. Deep learning will often present false negatives as well as false positives. The human user may be an expert on her application but often have limited expertise of deep learning. With such challenges, how could intelligent video analytics be applied to applications such as air reconnaissance?
Your task is to provide a systems solution how deep learning could be applied in air reconnaissance application, given the possibilities and limitations of the available technologies. We expect you to survey previous work in the area of intelligent video and image analytics as well as analyse the challenges of air reconnaissance in this context. The result could be a systems and software design and recommendations for next generation of support systems for air reconnaissance.
We are looking for an engineering or master student that is in the last year of an education aimed at information systems with an interest in artificial intelligence and software design.
What you will be a part of
The department of Ground Support Systems at Saab Aeronautics develops software applications for air mission support. This includes planning and evaluation for manned (Gripen, HKP14) and unmanned (TUAV Örnen) aircrafts and helicopters.
