Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is currently recruiting for a Paralegal.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day prosecution and maintenance of Saab, Inc.'s trademark and copyright portfolios

  • Update, organize and maintain corporate governance documents; assist with domestic business filings (state filings and annual reports)

  • Assist with document due diligence review for business transactions, and with discovery on litigation matters

  • Assist (under supervision of Saab, Inc. attorneys) with preparation and negotiation of legal documents and redlines, and draft routine letters and other correspondence

  • Document production and management, including but not limited to:

    • Coordinating signatures to contracts, filings, and other documents

    • Leading the maintenance of Legal Files (online and physical files)

  • Create training materials and PowerPoint training decks

  • Create and maintain monthly Legal Department financial and operational reporting

  • Build handbooks, processes, guides, checklists and other materials to support Saab, Inc. business units and create legal department efficiencies

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree

  • Paralegal certificate (or similar credential)

  • Extensive previous experience at a law firm and/or within a corporate legal department strongly preferred

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of trademark and copyright maintenance and prosecution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to proofread material for grammatical or spelling errors

  • Sound business judgement, and flexibility/adaptability to prioritize, organize, manage and complete time sensitive matters without sacrificing accuracy

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail

  • High-level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, team environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Strong, active listening skills

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, Navex Global EthicsPoint, NASDAQ Boardvantage
