Your role

We need to expand our team in the Future Technology department with a research and technology leader with focus on electronic warefare technologies such as AI, Signal Processing and digital electronics. You will lead and coordinate the research within our business unit Electronic Warfare and Aircraft Systems. Support the organization to point out the direction of future research and enhance the collaboration with universities. Additionally you will lead the work with future capabilities and the technology mapping.

The main tasks are:

  • Lead and coordinate the internal research activities
  • Support the organization when a research call is to be responded and submitted
  • Be the natural point of contact in external collaborations

At Future Technology you will be part of a very competent and cross-functional team. We work with additive manufacturing (AM), machine learing (AI /ML), Business Intelligence (BI) etc. which creates a very innovative work environment.

Your profile

It is important to be passionate about new technology and the defence domain with focus on electronic warfare. You need to be structured, have a positive attitude, skilled in communication (both as a listener and in talk) and feel confident to lead forums and meetings. You are interested of the “big picture” and the future business needs and a good team player that can stand up for the quote “together as one”.

Required skills:

  • Minimum Masters degree in Science
  • Minimum 3 years experience from relevant research activities in universities or the industry
  • Experience from writing research articles or applications for research calls
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

  • Team leading
  • Experience in signal processing
  • International experience
  • Experience as PhD mentor

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
