Sales Director for Expatriate assignment in United Arab Emirates

Your role

We are now looking for a Sales Director to secure and develop our expanding support contracts within Business Unit (BU) Airborne Early Warning in the United Arab Emirates. In this role, your main task is to lead the local Marketing and Sales activities in order to secure and develop the on-going support contracts. You will also be responsible to ensure the BU order intake. With patience and persistence, you will build solid and longstanding customer relations.   

The professional interfaces you will have consist of the:

  • UAE Military customer representatives on all levels
  • Saab UAE Operations, Offset and Sales Teams
  • Group Legal Affairs, for example Treasury, Tax and Finance
  • Industrial Cooperation

Working in the context of Saab in the UAE, you will be a part of Business Area Surveillance and the business unit Airborne Early Warning (AEW). AEW is currently leading a number of ongoing major aircraft modification, integration and support projects. The local team is based in Abu Dhabi where the daily work is conducted both at our main office and at the customer premises.

AEW deliver Surveillance Aircraft and In-Service Support of delivered systems and our business interacts with other Saab Business Areas, demanding exceptional cooperation skills across Saab.

You define yourself as a team player, with the ability to build up and maintain a vital customer network and cooperate closely with other parts of the Saab community.

Your qualifications should also consist of:

  • Customer oriented with a strong business understanding for support contracts.
  • A solid track record of profitable achieved business/contracts won 
  • Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
