Saab is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in the implementation of IFS Financials for our Advanced Manufacturing facility being newly constructed in West Lafayette, IN. The position will report to the Director of Accounting Shared Services and assist with the implementation as well as all subsequent accounting procedures for the Indiana facility. The successful candidate will work alongside the project lead(s) through execution and completion of the finance modules including design and configurations, test cycles, data migration, and cutover/go-live.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
Mentor junior level accounting staff.
Liaison with stakeholders and implementation partners.
Work with stakeholders to drive new compliant process designs/workflow and the completeness of master data collections.
Participate in the user acceptance testing cycle including issues tracking and resolution, test results documentation, and internal control requirements.
Document procedures and processes applicable to the new ERP and peripheral systems.
Assist with ERP system upgrades as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline is required. CPA preferred.
8+ years of accounting or other relevant experience.
Experience with systems implementation (ERP in particular) and project management.
Strong IFS experience preferred.
Proficient with data sets, data mining, and the use of data.
Knowledge of government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is a plus.
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
