Job Description:

Saab in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Senior Communications and Event Professional to join the U.S. Corporate Affairs team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, plan and execute a full schedule of industry trade shows and events, including managing budgets and resource plans.

  • Develop, plan and execute inspirational employee engagement events.

  • Plan and execute cross-departmental projects such as virtual exhibitions, virtual demonstrations, authentic live programming via livestream or video conferencing platforms, interactive video, etc. for external marketing and communication with stakeholders.

  • Capture photo and video content in coordination with Defense and Aerospace government and commercial stakeholders.

  • Exhibit strong understanding of various in person and virtual event technologies and applicability to business goals.

  • Implement best practices for content management and storage.  Vet and catalogs video, photo, audio and/or other digital media content for online delivery platforms.

  • Coordinate resources and assets to ensure that events and content are produced and delivered on time and in accordance with established requirements.

  • Provide detailed and clear ROI reports on events and activities associated with executed programs.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in event production / digital project management and knowledge of various digital delivery platforms.

  • Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail is imperative.

  • Project management experience.

  • Mastery of video production and editing equipment, tools, and software.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital content best practices and marketing fundamentals.

  • Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Episerver, social media platforms.

  • Proven experience leading the development and execution in-person and virtual events.

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, experience working across multiple organization, executive leadership, and management of external agencies.

  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking, and time management.

  • A willingness to travel and ability to work independently.

  • Experience working with the U.S. Department of Defense is very helpful but not required.
