Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual as a Deputy Program Manager (Production & Subcontracts)to serve in support of the Training and Simulation Business Area. You will be joining a dynamic team supporting United States Marine Corps and US Army training and simulation programs with a focus on the Live Training Domain. As such you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing Production & Subcontract contributions to the program.  Offer contingent upon contract win.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting to the overall Director of Programs you will act as primary SAAB Manager responsible for all aspects of Subcontractor performance in support of large, complex USMC Program

  • Lead and manage all aspects of light manufacturing of simple electro-optical subsystem using a combination of SAAB in house resources, contract manufacturing and assembly efforts

  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontracts and suppliers to ensure on time delivery and performance

  • Develop, manage and report risk management efforts including technical, procurement, schedule and cost baseline risks to ensure on time performance

  • Perform day to day coordination of deliverables (products, services and documents) with SubK and production into the master program

  • Work with corporate subcontracts and procurement to ensure SABB and applicable standards and flowdowns are identified and implemented.

  • Ensure efficient supply chain management

  • Coordinate and synchronize SubK and production efforts with the overarching program Integrated Master Schedule

  • Identify and managed changes to SubK scope as necessary

  • Up to 30% travel (CONUS and OCONUS)

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in relevant discipline

  • PMP Certification highly desire

  • 10+  years serving in Program Management capacity on complex DoD Programs

  • Experience with light manufacturing and assembly

  • Experience with service and support efforts/subcontracts

  • Ability to concisely and incisively identify, mitigate and report risks

  • Experience in USMC and/or US Army Live Training Domain
