Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director to establish and lead our corporate Program Performance Management function across our US business.  Saab, Inc. executes a wide range of programs supporting government, commercial, and internal stakeholders with a wide range of services from technology development to production.  The Program Performance Management function will establish best practices for program management including Processes, Methods and Tools, and provide oversight to our program management teams across the entire enterprise.  The Program Performance Management function will ensure adherence to standardized processes and practices.
 

The Senior Director of Program Performance Management will lead a team of analysts and program management professionals providing support across the program/Product Life cycle, including program performance assessment, Earned Value Management (EVM), risk & opportunity management, and cost/schedule management.

This position is ideally located in our East Syracuse, New York facility, and relocation would be provided. For the right candidate, we are open to the position being located at one of our other U.S. locations.

The ideal candidate has significant program management experience in an US Aerospace or DoD environment, organizational leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to strategically partner with key stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Set up ways of working, standard operating procedures, and practices for the Program Performance Management function. This includes:

    • Program and Portfolio Planning, Management and performance assessment

    • Risk Management and Mitigation

    • Financial Management and Cost Control

    • Resource Allocation and Optimization

  • Recruit for and lead a team of highly skilled and motivated analysts, providing master planning and financial analysis support to Saab Inc. programs.

  • Effectively support the program performance of Saab Inc. divisions to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Set clear expectations and establish performance targets for the Program Performance management function.


Compensation Range: $176,700 - $300,000

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated, advanced program management skills applied in a DoD/Aerospace environment, including:

    • Program planning and performance assessment

    • Risk and Opportunity Management

    • Financial Management and Cost Control

    • Earned Value management

    • Resource Allocation and Optimization

    • Stakeholder Management and Communication

    • Process Improvement Methodologies

    • Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline is required. MBA/ Master's degree desirable

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience with proven track record of success in leading industry or DoD mid to large functional and/or program organizations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives

Citizenship Requirements:
