What you will do

You will be involved in design and development of new solutions for our radar systems. Depending on your experience, you will have the opportunity to be involved as:

  • An integral part of highly collaborative agile teams with a strong common goal where you will have a clear mission and ownership in making solutions in service for customers around the world

  • Work on some of the most advanced technologies and solutions in the defence- and civil security industry

  • Take Saab to the next level of our software journey where much of the ground you will cover will be unexplored

  • Bring new ideas and innovative thinking as well as spend quality time with our world-class radars

  • Design of functions/ solutions

  • Technical leader for development teams

  • Mentoring and guiding development team

Who are we

The unit has around 50 SW/FW developers organized in teams with responsibility of developing functions/solutions for radar systems in the antenna and high frequency related domain.
We develop the functions in the latest generations of highly integrated FPGA:s (MPSoC and RFSoC) using C++ and VHDL.  Some of the teams develop efficient ways of working, ie DevOps toolchain etc.

You are communicative and can explain and discuss complex problems with stakeholders and coworkers. As a person, you are positive, approachable and enjoy teamwork.

Required skills:

  • Extensive experience from working with software, C++ and favorably VHDL, in complex SW systems

  • Agile software development


  • Experience in a leading software engineering role

  • Experience in signal processing development
