Senior IT Support Professional
Saab's, Information Communication Technology (ICT) team is looking for an experienced Senior IT professional with a strong understanding of ITIL practices, IT infrastructure, and customer service to fill a Senior IT Support Professional position. Desired location for this position is Syracuse, NY. However, other office locations include; Orlando, FL, Washington D.C., Ashburn VA or West Lafayette, IN.
Delivering a customer service oriented approach to the facets of Information Technology in support of the organizations' end-point computing devices and peripherals.
Effectively using problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues, as well as provide input to process improvement efforts.
Working with all technology related systems including networking, servers, workstations, and helpdesk support.
Quickly establishing credible relationships with key stakeholders.
Providing hardware, software, and network support to internal customers.
Interacting with internal or external customers on technical and programmatic issues.
Effectively using tools such as SCCM, WSUS, Dameware, SCSM, Orchestrator, Intune, and other similar tools.
Evaluating and appyling department policies and procedures to effective execution.
Contributing to the adoption of new design and development approaches to improve overall quality, reliability and speed of implementation.
Mentorship of levels 1 and 2 team members. May lead small project team.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an information technology or a computer science discipline or related discipline is required.
6+ years of relevant IT experience.
A+/Network+ Certification or equivalent.
Understanding of processes and procedures with capability to suggest improvements
Ability to configure and deploy endpoint computing devices on an enterprise scale
Understanding of Asset Management
Solid organizational, documentation, verbal and writing communication skills.
Ability and willingness to handle off-hours support, including on-call
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
