Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Subcontracts Manager to join the rapidly growing North America Central Procurement team executing and managing high-dollar and highly complex procurements.
Determining requirements that are appropriate to ensure regulatory compliance and to mitigate risk
Assist Engineering in the creation of Statements of Work (SOW)
Issue RFI’s & RFQ’s and ensuring receipt of complete information
Conducting Flow Down Analysis to ensure compliance to customer requirements (FAR/DFARS, FAA, International requirements)
Negotiating and managing supplier price, cost, schedule and technical performance
Executing Subcontracts, Inter-divisional Work Transfer Agreements, NDA’s, Leasing agreements, and Long-Term Agreements
Writing Contracts Letters and maintaining comprehensive legal records in compliance with USG Certified Purchasing System Requirements
Act as the primary Supply Chain personnel for Proposals of Material and Labor
Facilitating rhythm meetings and problem resolution
Working across multiple sites and international coordination
IR&D and Engineering support
Supplier Management incl. performing QBRs with critical suppliers
May assist with Metrics, Reporting, Continuous Improvement, and other Strategic Initiatives
Compensation Range: $94,800-$120,900
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience:
BA/BS degree with 10-12 years of experience or MBA/MS/JD degree with 8+ years of experience
Professional certification or advanced degree preferred (CCM, CFCM, CPCM)
Advanced Purchasing experience- comprehensive understanding of fundamentals, building orders in an ERP system
Experience with contracting methods and types
Analytical thinking and problem solving- ability to apply sound judgement and creativity
Communication / Interpersonal Relationships
Financial Acumen- ability to determine cost reasonableness
USG, DoD, or FAA contracts experience
Cross-functional experience in Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Program Management.
Continuous Improvement (Black Belt, Green Belt)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership and Presentations skills
