System Engineer (IT)
As our new System Engineer (IT), you will be responsible for transforming customer requirements and IT network requirements into deliverable solutions. You will support our network and security experts in projects and design and document the solution in close cooperation with our system and security architects, other system engineers and project managers. You will specify the requirements towards external suppliers as well as our internal development organisation to comply with the overall customer requirements. You will also be involved in the system configuration during integration and you will support test activities performed before system delivery to the customer.
Key technologies and disciplines for this position:
- System requirement analysis, management and traceability
- Design and specification of IT networks / systems
- Server / client architecture (design, setup and configuration)
- System redundancy requirements (power, network, data etc.)
- IT security concepts
- Integration of VoIP communication systems and other systems
- Design based on standards (DIN/ISO, CE, Mil-Std., etc.)
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have a structured and methodical approach to task solving. You enjoy working with technical challenges and are motivated by working with new technologies, products and systems and you understand the importance of documenting your designs and decisions. You enjoy working in an international environment, and are capable of balancing a holistic view of the project with the detailed view on the specific task.
We expect you to hold a B.Sc. in computer science or similar and that you have relevant work experience from the Armed Forces, defence industry or similar. We expect your willingness to travel (also abroad), flexibility, creativity and dedication to the job. Fluent English in speaking and writing, additionally skills in the German and Danish language are a plus.
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and/or successfully demonstrate eligibility to receive applicable government security clearance(s).
