The Program in focus (part of the Swedish Army Command & Control System) delivers the integrated Computer System (Software, Security and Hardware) to the Swedish Army Digitalization program. The program develops and integrates new capabilities continuously. In parallel the program supports and maintains previously delivered/deployed releases.
As Technical Project Manager you will be part of the Land department leadership team. The Land department is part of the Product Unit Air & Land, which has profit & loss responsibility in the Business Unit Combat System.
The majority of our business are focusing on our home market, the Swedish Army. We also manage export customers outside of Sweden. A Technical Project Manager have a clear responsibility for managing the technical development in the project. The main activities are situated in Järfälla, Stockholm where our development takes place. The role implies close cooperation with Program Manager, Team managers, Line Managers, Design authority, Customer, End-user and Partners.
We are looking for a Leader with high cooperation qualities that can contribute with drive, enthusiasm, ability to communicate and clarify complex technical solutions and high interest in customer collaboration. We believe that you have a good understanding of Management of production, projects with a considerable amount of software and hardware content. Experience and/or knowledge in Defence Command & Control is an advantage. As a candidate for this position, you have the ability to work independently, take on great responsibility and have excellent communication skills. We expect you have a Master’s degree in Engineering or matching background. We expect you to communicate fluently in Swedish and English.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will be a part of Business Unit Combat Systems and Product Unit Air and Land. We are experts on C4I (Command, Control, Communication, and Computer Information System), which is one of Saab Core Areas. In the Land Department we are experts in digitizing the Ground based battlefield. Our C4I solutions applies advanced IT security and integration technologies in combination with Military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) hardware and software packages. Our end users are represented on all command levels (from Head to HQ) and in all Combat Services (e.g. Mechanized, Artillery and CBRN forces). Combat Systems is a part of Surveillance.
