Do you like the challenges in automated product test development with state of the art products? Saab Technology Center is now further expanding its development unit in Tampere and is seeking a highly motivated Test Automation Developer to build automated product test solutions for complex electronic warfare systems.
Your role
As a Test Automation Developer role you are responsible of developing automated test solutions for complex electronic warfare systems. You work closely with experienced R&D engineers (RF, HW, SW) to ensure that the developed test automation solutions fulfill performance expectations and meet the required high quality standards.
Responsibilities will include:
- Translating product requirements into practical test cases
- Automated test environment development
- Development and maintenance of test code libraries and test systems together with other test automation developers
- Execution of test cases/suites and analysis of test results together with domain experts
- Participating test automation solutions architecture definition and road mapping
Your profile
This exciting opportunity requires can-do attitude, motivation to learn, and ability to work both as part of a team but also handling specified tasks independently. You can communicate fluently both in Finnish and English, verbal and written.
You have:
- Proven experience of test development with Robot Framework and Python scripting
- Understanding of product design, verification and quality assurance processes
- Ability to lead own work and effectively interface with other developers, design teams and other stakeholders
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Other skills seen beneficial:
- Experience of RF/MW or hardware or embedded product test automation development
- Familiar with agile development and delivery methologies and tools
- Experience of other programming/scripting languages such as Matlab, C or C++
- Understanding of test database solutions
In this job, some of your tasks have a connection to defense secrecy. Therefore, a drug test and approved security clearance in accordance with the Finnish Security Clearance act 726/2014 is required for the selected applicant.

Your work place will be in Saab Technology Center in Tampere but since Saab is a global company this role will require some travelling and being able to communicate with your colleagues abroad.
