Testbed & Integration Engineer

Saab, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Testbed & Integration Engineer to provide integral support to the FoFTS-Next program. The Testbed & Integration Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the lifecycle Testbed support including RMF analysis, configuration management, regression testing of SW and HW updates prior to release to fielded locations, stakeholder demonstrations and field support activities.
The United States Marine Corps (USMC) Force-on-Force Training Systems-Next (FoFTS-Next) program will provide the training tools needed to prepare Marines for any contingency, anywhere.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement a Live Training Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) integrating various HW and SW subsystems in support of the program lifecycle
Identify and integrate key technologies to the SIL
Ensure availability of Lab capabilities in support of key customer and user touchpoints during the program lifecycle
Manage the access and schedule of lab capabilities and assets
Ensure reference baselines are available at all times
Ensure configuration management of SIL assets by integrating items under development with Lab infrastructure
Support the deployment and operation of SIL assets in support of test and experiment in the field including CONUS and OCONUS DoD installations
Some travel (up to 25%) CONUS and OCONUS is required
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical/engineering discipline
5+ years serving in the System Integration function on large, complex programs including “cradle to grave” program lifecycles
Practical experience integrating items under development into integration environments
Field experience with US DoD installations including austere environments
Experience with live instrumentation systems such as MILES, HITS, TESS, U-LEIS, or DISE
Experience integrating Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) real-time platform-level wargaming across multiple host computers
Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office
Ability to operate independently and exercise good judgement with limited direction to ensure high availability of SIL assets in support of developmental and user integration events
Must hold or be able to obtain U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance
Desired Skills:
Attended Professional Military Education appropriate to rank at time of separation or retirement from the uniformed service
