Verification Manager

Your role

As a Verification manager you will be responsible for the verification activities in projects and part of a team of project- and verification managers. You will lead the verification of a product in a project form within Kockums BA Submarines and your responsibility covers the planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of the submarine verification. The role includes many stakeholder interactions with customers, vendors, engineers, manufacturing specialists and other business areas within Saab. In the later phases of verification, you work closely together with the verification leaders and system engineers, as well as the end users. You report to the Specialty Engineering Director, Submarine Design, BA Submarine Kockums.

The role includes business travels between our offices in Karlskrona and Malmö. Travels abroad occur but varies depending on our projects.

As a Verification manager it is your responsibility to:

  • Collect schedule data for relevant milestones from the project plan.
  • Prepare a plan for the verification activities (DR, FAT, ICO, STW, HAT and SAT) in cooperation with relevant parties including the trials crew for the SAT.
  • Prepare, maintain and follow up a budget for the verification parts of the project.
  • Lead and manage the work related to the Verification matrix.
  • Identify internal and external requirements on verification facilities, equipment, security and resources and communicate these to the relevant parties.
  • Liaise with production, customer, end user and other internal and external entities to ensure that the intended verification is agreed, that the entry criteria is met and that all necessary infrastructural requirements are met.
  • Lead the verification and trials work including development of verification procedures, verification protocols and verification reports.
  • Ensure that deviations identified during the verification are documented and that corrective actions are taken.

Required skills:

  • A few years’ successful experience as a leader – manager/project leader.
  • Ability to cooperate and navigate in an organization developing and maintaining advanced products.
  • Social competence such as leadership skills, communication and coordination skills
  • Experience in the area of Requirements Verification and Validation and Test & Evaluation
  • Good knowledge about system functions and system interdependencies
  • General understanding of the interdisciplinary technologies affecting system verification
  • Know how in building long lasting professional relationships and networks with colleagues and customers
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.

Desired skills:

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • Professional competence related to Kockums products.
  • Good knowledge about the relevant submarine/ships
  • Experience from the navy
  • Understanding/experience of commercial terms and their aspects on the project
  • Understanding/experience of classification and Security management.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
