Brazilian Army Conducts First Operational Firing With RBS 70
The Brazilian Army has conducted the first operational
firing of RBS 70 air defence missile system with Saab's close support.
On August 5, 2015, the defence and security company Saab supported the Brazilian army in an air defence firing drill at the Formosa training facility (GO), some 80 km from the country capital Brasilia. This event was the first operational firing of the Saab RBS 70 missile system in Brazil.
Brazil's Minister of Defence, Jaques Wagner, Brazilian Army Commander General Eduardo Villas Bôas and the Commander of the 1st Brigade of Anti-Aircraft Artillery, General João Chalella along with Saab's president in Latin America Bo Torrestedt attended the event among other civilian and military authorities.
