Precision Attack & Targeting India 2013 conference

Sudhir Varma from Saab India made a presentation on long range precision attack in today’s battlefield focusing on the TAURUS KEPD 350 Weapon System Program. The TAURUS KEPD 350 MR Missile is a modular all-weather, high precision standoff weapon designed by TAURUS Systems GMbh. The participants also talked about various system solutions for precision engagement while analysing the Indian capabilities in precision attack and targeting. According to Sudhir, “Collateral damage is not acceptable today specially at a time when all future battles are being fought under media glare. Precision systems also ensure that strategic targets are neutralised at early stages of the war with limited Air Superiority.”

The conference was attended by Air Force Commanders, Operations and Space Directorate, Artillery Commander, Strategic Forces Command Integrated Defence Staff, DRDO scientists, experts from think tanks , International and domestic vendors dealing with air, ground and sea-launched precision weapons & several others.
