Naval Technology Forum 2026

The Polish-Swedish Naval Technology Forum was established as a platform
to share views and experiences between Polish and Swedish academics,
researchers, maritime research and technology experts, as well as
representatives from the maritime industry, public authorities and armed
forces.

The Forum focuses on common challenges and opportunities for cooperation
in the field of future naval technologies. 2Since 019 by the Polish Naval Academy in
Gdynia and Saab, the Forum fosters long-term collaboration between Poland
and Sweden in the maritime and defence sectors. However, the cooperation
between Saab and the Naval Academy dates back to 2017, when both parties
signed a cooperation agreement. “Partnering in Naval Operations in the
Baltic Sea”. The event is based on the Triple Helix cooperation model, in which
academia, industry and government work together to identify, research and
develop innovative technologies and services that respond to national security
and maritime operational needs.
