Job Description:
The Saab, Inc. Operations is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Chief of Staff to support the Operations team. The successful candidate will apply demonstrated knowledge of program/project/operations management principles and concepts to resolve a variety of issues. The ideal candidate has significant organizational leadership experience and strong communications skills.
To be successful in this role a candidate must demonstrate expertise across program management, project management, operations management, process improvement, and organizational development. This role reports to the VP, Operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall project management for Operations for Project Phoenix (Oracle upgrade) through completion
Support VP in annual strategic planning effort, KPI development and manage progress towards yearly objectives
Manage and track Operations Actions Items to closure
Working with members of the ops team, maintain oversight of Ops CAPEX spend
Provide oversight of the PLM project through completion
Serve as project manager for Syracuse facility consolidation
Support VP in development of Ops QBR charts
Support VP in oversight of Ops OH budgets and forecasting activities
Support VP in development and management of long-term facility utilization plan
Perform role as metrics manager for Ops
Assist the VP to frame and solve broad, ambiguous and ill-defined problems
Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range: $184,400 - 248,900
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical discipline with 15+ years of related experience, including 5+ years of management experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience considered.
Strong leadership, organizational management, and planning skills.
Strong communication and team building skills.
Strong influencing skills in a highly matrixed environment.
Successful working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Solid strategic planning and implementation experience.
Willingness and ability to travel to regional site locations (~10%).
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
