Closing date: 25 March 2026

Want to influence the bigger picture? At Saab, you can realise amazing innovations that keep people and societies safe. Together, we can truly make an impact – and your part matters.

Your Role

Missile Systems is a profit and loss Business Unit within Business Area Dynamics, responsible for product management, marketing and sales as well as programme management of advanced missile systems for a global customer base. We are now looking for a Contract Manager to join our Commercial Management organisation. Our product portfolio is broad and we continuously invest in new products and capabilities, both as a prime contractor and in partnership with international defence companies.

Our business cases are often large and complex, involving long-term commitments that cover development, delivery, and support over several decades. As Contract Manager you will be part of a professional team focused on delivering high-value missile system solutions to customers and partners. The role is part of the Commercial Management organisation, whose objective is to support sustainable growth by providing commercial expertise across the business.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure best-in-class contract management during contract execution. You will play an integral role in contract management teams and act as a commercial advisor to the contract responsible. This includes follow-up and updates of contracts in accordance with governance processes and standards. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of business proposals that meet customer and partner requirements while contributing to profitable business for Saab. You will actively support contract negotiations and contribute to continuous business improvement.

The role is primarily office-based, however both national and international travel is required to lead or support customer and partner meetings and negotiations. Reasonable travel between Saab sites is also part of the role.

Your Profile

You have a genuine interest in doing business and in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You are ambitious, curious, and energetic and you continuously look for ways to contribute with new ideas and improvements in your daily work.

You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You take pride in delivering high-quality, timely contract management work and take full responsibility for your contributions. You are an excellent communicator who feels confident interacting at all organisational levels. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Additional language skills are considered a merit.

You demonstrate high integrity and stand up for what you believe is right. You are motivated to develop both professionally and personally with a strong willingness to learn new skills, processes, methods and tools. You are flexible, enjoy working in a professional business environment, and perform well under demanding delivery schedules. For us, your personal qualities are an important part of the overall assessment in this recruitment.

We believe that you hold a university degree in law, engineering, economics, or business. However, if you have substantial and relevant professional experience in contract management or a related field, this may be considered in place of a formal university degree.  You have several years of relevant work experience after graduation in areas such as project management, engineering, commercial roles, strategic procurement, finance, or related discipline. Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage.

A valid category B driving licence is required as the role involves travel between Saab sites as well as visits to customers and partners, both within Sweden and internationally.

Your application should be submitted in English.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
