Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Administrator in our Syracuse, NY office, to support proposal, negotiation, and execution (including modifications) of a mixed portfolio of contracts.

Some specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions

  • Conducting administration of Contracts from award to completion

  • Negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Memorandums of Agreement

  • Performing and communicating contractual risk analyses during all phases of the contract lifecycle.

               

Skills and Experience:

•BA/BS degree with 3+ years experience

OR

•MBA or JD  with 1+ years experience

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience performing various aspects of contract management and administration from the capture phase through contract close-out for multiple contract types

  • Working knowledge of Government contracting concepts (including FAR/DFARS) and key business processes

  • Ability to work comfortably in a team environment, multi-task, and support concurrent requirements for different internal and external customers

  • Ability to prepare, organize and maintain contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance

  • Excellent oral and written communication skill

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and creativity to develop solutions to contract problems, identifying those terms or conditions that merit an exception or modification

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate Requests for Proposal and formulate proposal responses

  • NCMA Certification

  • Commercial Contracts/DoD Contracts

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance per business requirements.
