Your role

We are on a transformation journey and your focus as a manager will be to drive process development and digitalization within the training area. You will lead a dedicated team of trainers who deliver training in radar operation and maintenance to customers worldwide. Our mission is to equip customers with the knowledge and confidence to operate and maintain our systems effectively. Our trainers are highly self-sufficient, and your role will focus on enabling and empowering them to excel.
Customer training is one of five groups within the System Department which supports Giraffe AMB & Arthur. As a part of the System management team, you will contribute to a collaborative environment where each member's experience and strengths help solve challenges across the department.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
- Coaching and developing your team on an individual level
- Driving continuous improvements in methods, processes, and course content
- Supporting trainers both on- and off-site to ensure high-quality delivery
- Building and maintaining internal networks to advocate for your team's needs
- Acting as the team's spokesperson, representing Customer Training across Saab
Your profile

With strong communication skills and a genuine interest in people, you navigate interpersonal challenges with ease while driving engagement and alignment with Saab’s strategic goals.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Experience within training, education, or learning environments
- Previous leadership experience as a manager, with a proven ability to coach, motivate, and empower others
- A technical engineering degree or a military background
- Experience leading change and business development initiatives, particularly within digitalization and transformation
- The ability to build commitment and guide teams through change while maintaining focus and momentum
- Experience of leading distributed teams and a willingness to travel regularly to stay connected with operations and employees
- A strong interest in developing both people and organizations
- Experience from defense, security, or other technically advanced industries
A military background is considered an advantage, but it is not a requirement. More importantly, you understand the role of training and competence development in building operational capability.
Fluency in both Swedish and English is essential, and occasional travel is required.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
