Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Professional Manager (IT Manager, Infrastructure Services), a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the enterprise IT infrastructure, including data center operations, servers, networks, cloud platforms, AI/ML, business applications, and databases. This role leads a team of IT professionals, manages IT workflows across all operational areas, directs projects, optimizes technology and resource utilization, manages budgets and staffing, and partners with IT support, business systems, and senior leadership to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable infrastructure that meets evolving business needs.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage a team responsible for data center infrastructure, including servers, networks, engineering tools, cloud, AI/ML, business applications, and databases.
Routinely lead and direct a team of 5 or more people, establishing individual and team objectives as well as performance measures.
Work closely with IT professionals to ensure hardware is available for projects and functioning properly.
Account for project challenges including risks, time, resources, and scope.
Manage projects to monitor the progress of initiatives successfully.
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper
execution.
Document and monitor requirements needed to implement proposed updates.
Research emerging technology, competitive threats, deficiencies, and industry trends to assist in product development and operational support activities.
Assist in developing technology recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment complexity.
Prepare plans for the development and installation of the data center according to present and future requirements, including AI/ML considerations.
Monitor all software and hardware products to ensure compliance with data center standards and company policies.
Administer installation and maintenance of the organization’s data center.
Monitor activities related to the analysis and deployment of applications.
Supervise design and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement processes.
Troubleshoot data center issues and assist in timely resolution.
Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees.
Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure.
Manage cost, budget, and accountability of human resources, including staffing, hiring, performance feedback, compensation, training, career development, and other employment decisions.
Partner with Program Managers, Team Leads, Senior Management, or others to effectively allocate and direct team members.
Compensation Range: $128,800 - $167,400

Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance if needed.
Experience leading and managing IT infrastructure teams.
Hands-on experience with servers, networks, cloud platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, business applications, and databases.
Knowledge of IT workflow management across incident and problem management, change management, service requests, lifecycle, and configuration management.
Experience planning, designing, supporting, and operating IT infrastructure in a secure and efficient manner.
Project management experience, including defining goals, managing scope, monitoring progress, and addressing risks.
Experience managing budgets, staffing, performance, training, and career development.
Ability to work collaboratively with IT Support, Business Systems, Program Managers, Team Leads, and Senior Management.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in data center design and future capacity planning.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Experience supervising deployment and evaluation of servers and applications.
Ability to optimize technology utilization and resources to achieve financial objectives.
