At Saab Surveillance, our business is expanding rapidly – and so is the complexity of our projects and product landscape. We are now looking for a Procurement Project Leader to strengthen our Procurement organisation and act as the operational link between Procurement and our product and project organisations.
This is a highly dynamic role for someone who enjoys navigating complex environments, driving progress across multiple stakeholders, and quickly turning ambiguity into structure and action.
Your Role: Operational, Cross-Functional, and Fast-Paced
As a Procurement Project Lead, you will belong to the Procurement organisation but work in close collaboration with product areas and cross-functional project teams. Your primary focus will be to lead and coordinate procurement-related activities within projects and operational initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
Unlike more strategic sourcing roles, this position is centered around execution, coordination, stakeholder management, and driving momentum in ongoing projects and business-critical initiatives. Collaboration with procurement colleagues, experts in their respective commodities, is an important part of the role and is vital to success.
You will operate in the intersection between Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Project Management – ensuring alignment, resolving issues, driving actions forward, and enabling efficient decision-making.
The assignment is broad and highly varied. One week you may coordinate procurement activities for a product development project, the next you may drive risk mitigation actions, structure complex stakeholder dialogues, or support urgent operational challenges connected to deliveries and production.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate procurement-related activities within projects and product areas.
- Act as Procurement’s operational interface towards cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient collaboration with representatives from all procurement commodities to enable transparency between Procurement and product/project organisations
- Drive progress, alignment, and action follow-up across multiple functions and organisational levels.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks related to supply and procurement activities.
- Coordinate mitigation actions and support decision-making processes.
- Support product and project teams in procurement-related planning, prioritization, and execution.

You likely have experience from management consulting, project management, procurement, supply chain, or other cross-functional business environments where you have learned to quickly absorb information, structure complexity and create momentum.
You combine strong communication skills with a pragmatic and hands-on mindset.
Key Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience from project management, management consulting, procurement, operations, or similar cross-functional roles.
- Strong ability to independently drive work forward in complex organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
- Experience from high-tech, industrial, or manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
