We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Sensor Control and Tracking Design Manager to join our rapidly growing Fighter Radar Design team.

Your role

As Section Manager Sensor Control and Tracking Design you will lead a section consisting of several SW development teams, developing and delivering state of art Radar Control and Tracking functionality. The role is part of PU Fighter Radar Design management team and reports to Head of Fighter Radar Design. Role responsibility encompasses following key responsibilities:

  • To lead design, maintenance and sustainment activities with focus on sensor control and target tracking software for radar and missile electronics.
  • Take on full design responsibility for sensor control and target tracking software in tight cooperation with Signal Processing and System Design functions as well as Saabs central software design organization.
  • Actively develop teams and individuals to foster high performing team environment with focus on growth and on time deliverables.
  • Initiate, drive and develop ways-of-working to ensure utilization of state of art software development standards. Further nurture cooperation with other design units to develop ways-of-working in a coherent manner.
  • Foster understanding as well as utilization of recent sensor control and tracking processing methodology, architecture, mathematical toolsets and modelling for Radar, EW and applicable communication systems.

All with the main purpose to secure efficient and timely deliveries including appropriate quality and expected customer satisfaction.

The Product Unit Fighter Radar is responsible for the business connected to Saab Fighter Radar, Weapon Data Link and Missile Electronics. Furthermore, we are responsible for technical development within Fire Control Radars and Electronic Counter Measure systems, hence drive substantial R&D programs focusing on the latest sensor technologies. Product Unit Fighter Radar consists of ~160 employees.

Experience in following areas is required:

  • Genuine interest in complex software product development, methodology and cooperation across organizations.
  • Structured and performance driven ways-of-working.
  • Recognized communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience from leading SW development teams/units is highly preferred.
  • Business understanding, customer focus and product development experience.

 

Last but not least, you have the ability to create a collaborative work environment with transparency, respect and trust among employees. You support Surveillance overall culture program “Together as One”

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
