Senior Contracts Administrator
Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Contracts Administrator for its Surveillance division. The Senior Contracts Administrator will be an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. Day-to-day activities will include proposal preparation, pre‐contract risk analysis, negotiation, troubleshooting and resolving contractual issues, and administration of U.S. government contracts. The Senior Contracts Administrator should practice proactive contracts management, respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations/revisions, and initiate the documentation to authorize work according to contractual specifications. The individual must collaborate/influence other business areas without direct authority and have experience working with U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations contracts. Experience with commercial and foreign customers is a plus.
The Senior Contracts Administrator reports into the Manager, Contracts of the Surveillance division.
Reviews complex domestic proposals for compliance with requirements of Request for Proposal, with particular focus on identification and mitigation/elimination of “proposal risk” and “execution risk”.
Ability to draft modified/revised language for terms and conditions in response to an RFP.
Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts Federal Acquisition Regulations/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement. Demonstrate proactive contracts management
Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify
required improvement to established policies.
Ability to coordinate and manage the contracts volume as part of a major or complex proposal.
Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
Ability to train less experienced contract professionals.
Good presentation, leadership and team‐building skills.
Ability to determine appropriate flow down provisions for subcontracts and material procurement
Skills and Experience:
BA/BS degree in a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience directly working in a Contracts role or related field (6+ if MBA/JD)
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum 6 years of experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
Willingness to travel up to 25% in support of program and business development efforts.
Must be capable of obtaining a Secret level security clearance.
Professional certification preferred (CCCM,CFCM,CPCM)
Experience working with U.S. Government and foreign customers
Experience working in Oracle, SharePoint, and JIRA
