Senior Contracts Manager

Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking, proactive leader to serve as the Sr. Contracts Manager for the Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) and Land Systems divisions. As a senior leader, you will optimize both your extensive commercial and U.S. Government contracts experience and leadership skills to collaborate across functions. You will lead a team of 2-3 qualified contracts professionals to drive results, maximize efficiency, and generate new business opportunities.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee contract administration and negotiations for domestic and commercial contracts.

  • Lead a team of 2-3 Contracts professionals.  Foster an environment of continuous learning and career development.

  • Support capture efforts across the business by participating in proposal development and reviews.

  • Review complex domestic or commercial proposals for compliance with requirements of Request for Proposal.

  • Prepare and present contractual terms and conditions analyses to senior corporate management, including risk analyses, mitigation options, and negotiation strategies, while ensuring consistency with business objectives and corporate policies.

  • Resolve complex issues using professional concepts, company objectives, and/or industry best practices.

  • Ensure all current and future contracts are compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or equivalent, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) when applicable.

  • Successfully interact with senior corporate management, customer executive management, U.S. Government representatives.

  • Support the Saab Contracts' vision of being business leaders and undertake the necessary steps to achieve short and long-term objectives.

  • Identify future enhancements to the Contracts organization in support of growth and strategic direction of corporation.

  • Participate in efforts to evaluate and improve existing processes and fill process gaps.

  • Communicate results concisely, both verbally and in writing.

  • Apply a global perspective of business environment and technology

Compensation Range: $120,800-$157,000

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree 

  • ~20+ years experience

  • Desired: Professional certification or advanced degree preferred (CCCM, CFCM, CPCM)

 OR

  • MBA or JD

  • ~18+ years experience

  • Desired: Professional certification or advanced degree preferred (CCCM, CFCM, CPCM)

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
