Job Description:

Saab's Information Communication Technology (ICT) team is looking for an experienced IT professional with a strong understanding of ITIL practices, IT infrastructure, and customer service to fill a Senior IT Support Professional position. This position may be located in Syracuse, NY, Washington D.C., or West Lafayette, IN.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver a customer service oriented approach to the facets of Information Technology in support of the organizations' end-point computing devices and peripherals. 

  • Effectively use problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues, as well as provide input to process improvement efforts. 

  • Work with all technology related systems including networking, servers, workstations, and helpdesk support. 

  • Quickly establish credible relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Provide hardware, software, and network support to internal customers.

  • Interact with internal or external customers on technical and programmatic issues.

  • Effectively use tools such as SCCM, WSUS, Dameware, SCSM, Orchestrator, Intune, and other similar tools.

  • Evaluate and apply department policies and procedures to effective execution.

  • Contribute to the adoption of new design and development approaches to improve overall quality, reliability and speed of implementation.

  • License management

  • Mentorship of levels 1 and 2 team members. May lead small project team.​

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an information technology or a computer science discipline or related discipline is required.

  • 6+ years of relevant IT experience.

  • A+/Network+ Certification or equivalent.

  • Understanding of processes and procedures with capability to suggest improvements

  • Ability to configure and deploy endpoint computing devices on an enterprise scale

  • Understanding of Asset Management

  • Solid organizational, documentation, verbal and writing communication skills.

  • Ability and willingness to handle off-hours support, including on-call

  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
