As a Senior Proposal Professional, you will be part of the U.S. Business Development team where you will find other people who share your drive, motivation, and passion to make support Saab’s mission.
The location of this position is flexible; the successful candidate must have the ability to work hybrid at one of our four sites, including Boston, MA, Orlando, FL, Washington, DC, or Syracuse, NY.
In this position, you will provide support on a variety of assignments, ranging from strategic to smaller request for proposals (RFP), while developing content for the corporate proposal library. You will be a valued partner to our Marketing & Sales and Operations teams by accelerating our need to harmonize our proposal process, organize our efforts, and curate content. Additionally, in this role, you will support all business segments, including U.S. defense products.
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and executing organized proposal plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams from marketing and sales, engineering, program management, subcontracts, contracts, finance, quality, security, and export control;
- Analyzing RFP requirements, preparing compliance/capabilities matrices, milestone schedules, proposal template/annotated draft and outlines for proposal sections, and cross-references matrices to meet proposal requirements;
- Serving as a writer, editor, and/or reviewer for other Proposal Managers;
- Entering and monitoring proposal status data in our tracking tool, during all stages of proposal development;
- Coordinating requirements with contributors and adherence to proposal schedule;
- Communicating proposal plan details and action items during daily stand-up meetings;
- Creating and coordinating data calls and / or matrices for subcontractor teammates; and
- Providing updates to management on proposal submission status.
Compensation Range: $75,800-$94,800
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as marketing, writing/journalism, or communications and/or technical communications, is required..
3+ years of business experience with a significant portion directly related to proposal development and project management.
Experience with Department of Defense RFPs, or other federal government agencies.
Strong focus on analyzing and understanding RFP requirements and preparing documentation and proposal plans for kick-off meetings shortly after RFP release.
Experience with the Shipley Win Business (capture and proposal) process a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent teamwork and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft (MS)® Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, and MS SharePoint®.
Occasional travel may be required.
