Job Description:

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Execute Quality Management System principles and processes.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality issues on assigned programs.

  • Conduct contract reviews, quality program planning, and requirements flow-down.

  • Identify, disposition, and track nonconforming material.

  • Chair the Material Review Board (MRB).

  • Develop quality performance estimates for cost proposals and project scheduling.

  • Generate and review ECR/N documentation and participate in CCB activities.

  • Perform data collection and trend analysis.

  • Manage data within the Oracle ERP system.

  • Perform internal audits to ensure process maturity and capability while maintaining compliance for customer, production, and supply chain functions.

  • Monitor and track Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

  • Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance.

  • Identify, communicate, and implement value-added process improvements and initiatives.

  • Foster a people-first culture in alignment with Saab’s leadership vision.

 

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Support incoming inspection and inspection planning.

  • Support calibration and maintenance of equipment.

  • Monitor and report on Saab internal quality metrics.

 

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $112,500

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive and lead change.

  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) programs, procedures, and processes.

  • Working knowledge of Quality System Management per AS9100.

  • Working knowledge of SEI CMMI processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Aerospace industry experience.

  • MBA, M.Sc., or equivalent advanced education or certifications.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.

  • IPC or other relevant industry certifications.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
