Cheques are in the mail for three not-for-profit organisations chosen to receive support from our 2016 Community Care program.

Ladder, Fauna Rescue and Conservation Council were voted by Saab Australia employees to each receive a sizable donation.

Now in its fifth year, the Community Care initiative gives Saab Australia employees a say in where we direct our community-focussed support.

Employees are encouraged to offer local charities up for nomination which are then clustered into three groups for voting — as supporting people, animals, and the environment.

“With your help we're able to assist young people who haven't had the best start to develop the skills to live independently, to access the workforce, to maintain their health and wellbeing, and to connect within their communities. Ultimately this means that they can break the cycle of homelessness themselves”, said Ladder’s Manager Development & Partnerships, Bob Mc Kevitt.

“This is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you,” he said.

Fauna Rescue who receives over 7,000 calls a year asking for advice or care for injured animals, and Conservation Council committed to protecting, restoring and conserving and advocating for a more sustainable future will also be putting the contributions to good use for their causes.

The Community Care initiative is an important component of the company’s strong social and ethical values and commitment to caring about our people, community and the environment in which we operate.
