We are thrilled to announce that Saab Australia has won the Large Employer category of the Prime Minister’s National Veterans’ Employment Awards 2023.

This achievement highlights our commitment to employing and supporting veterans, reservists and partners of Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Through their unique qualifications, experience, and perspectives gained through world-class training and experience in the ADF, veterans bring immense value to our organisation.

We firmly believe in the value that veterans bring to our organisation, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support and opportunities they deserve.

A Commitment to Veterans
At Saab Australia, we have always recognised the exceptional skills and expertise that ADF veterans possess. We appreciate their technical proficiency, determination and collaboration skills, which can be effectively translated into the creation of innovative products and services. Moreover, we greatly value the demonstrated leadership, resilience, and teamwork skills that veterans bring to our workforce.

“We firmly believe in the value that veterans bring to our organisation, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support and opportunities they deserve,” said Saab Australia Managing Director, Andy Keough CSC.

“Being recognised with this prestigious award reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing and growing the number of veterans within our workforce and creating an inclusive workplace where veterans can flourish outside of the defence force.”

Supporting Veterans’ Transition
Saab Australia understands the challenges that veterans face during their transition from military service to civilian life. To assist them in their career progression, we have implemented a suite of initiatives. Additionally, through tailored support and mentorship programs, we ensure that veterans can smoothly transition into their roles while developing new skills and create new and fulfilling career pathways.

Chair of Saab’s Veterans’ Advisory Committee, Marc Bryant, states, “Our goal is not only to recruit veterans but also to provide them with a nurturing environment where they can excel. We want them to feel valued and empowered as they contribute to our organisation’s success.”

As winners of the Prime Minister’s National Veterans’ Employment Awards 2023 in the Large Employer category, Saab Australia proves itself as a true advocate for ADF veterans. Our commitment towards employing and supporting veterans is unwavering because we recognise the immense value they bring to our organisation.

Moving forward, we remain dedicated to advancing and growing the number of veterans within our workforce. Our ongoing efforts in fostering a culture of inclusion, providing tailored support programs, and collaborating with veteran support organisations demonstrate our commitment to ensuring veterans thrive in their careers.

Through our achievements in supporting veterans, Saab Australia sets an example for other organisations looking to tap into the exceptional talent and valuable skills possessed by ADF veterans. We are proud to contribute to the success of veterans and make a positive impact on their lives.
