Saab showcases cutting-edge naval solutions at MADEX 2025
Saab, a global leader in defence and security, is set to make a strong impact at the International Maritime Defence Industry Exhibition (MADEX) 2025, taking place from May 28th-31st at BEXCO Exhibition Center in Busan, Korea.
Under the theme “Keeping People and Society Safe”, Saab will highlight its commitment to supporting the Republic of Korea’s defence industry through advanced naval systems, radar technology, and electronic warfare solutions.
Saab’s presence will feature a range of solutions designed to enhance operational effectiveness and survivability in modern naval operations, such as
- AUV62-AT – A state-of-the-art anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training system, capable of simulating submarine movements to improve training realism while reducing operational costs.
- SEA GIRAFFE 1X – A compact, high-performance 3D surveillance radar system designed for naval platforms with limited space, offering exceptional situational awareness and counter-drone capabilities.
- UME-150 – A highly adaptable electronic warfare system, providing advanced electronic support measures (ESM) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) functionalities for sub-surface platforms.
- Coast Control Radar – A next generation, phased-array, non-rotating, and software defined radar for safeguarding territorial waterways. Its modular design allows for minimal installation effort on existing buildings, towers and waterway bridges and can offer up to 360-degree coverage.
Saab’s presence at MADEX reaffirms its long-standing support for Korea’s naval industry, including its role in facilitating the export of Korean defence technologies.
“Saab is proud to be a trusted partner to the Republic of Korea’s defence sector, bringing world-class naval capabilities to support its maritime security needs.
